A 1948 Stuart Surridge & Co. Limited cricket back autographed to front side with the Australia and England full cricket team members. Listed under Australia are 15 names headed by Don Bradman and under England 11 names headed by N Yardley. The 1948 Australia team gained notoriety for being undefeated for the entire tour. Bradman was making his fourth and final tour of England. This bat was signed at the Oval test match when Bradman played his last test for Australia. He needed only four runs from his final innings to have a test batting average of 100 but was out for a duck bowled second ball by Eric Hollies. The reverse of the bat is inscribed with six various county teams and team members including Surrey, Leicester, Kent, Yorkshire, Middlesex and Nottinghamshire. The bat belonged to the vendor's father, Stanley Squires, who played for Surrey and who collected all the signatures himself.

This bat was owned by the vendor's father Stan Squires, a Surrey player, who collected the signatures himself.

A Jack Hobbs Ltd Extra Special 'The Oval' short handle cricket bat signed by the entire 1928 England cricket team (17 signatures) including A Chapman, D Jardine, H Sutcliffe, D Larwood and J Hobbs. The England/MCC team toured Australia in 1928/29 retaining the Ashes and winning the series 4 -1. The bat has been stored in it's original canvas bag for at least the past 50 years in an attic and has been in the same family since new. The bat is in exceptional condition with all signatures clearly visible.

The card is dated 31st August 1946 and was signed by the team members whilst they were travelling to Southampton to embark for Australia. The 19 signatures include Len Hutton, Dennis Compton, Bill Edrich, R Howard (Manager), Norman Yardley and Alec Bedser. Australia won three matches and drew two and retained the Ashes.
