Ernest Shackleton: a framed and glazed photographic and autograph montage enclosing one original photograph and three reproduction photographs of Ernest Shackleton and a paper scrap signed in ink by Ernest Shackleton and Frank A Worsley, together with a framed and glazed autograph book page signed by Kathleen Shackleton of a hand written poem signed with address: 32 Regents Park Road, London and a type written description for the provenance of both sets: 'In the 1940's my family shared a house with Ernest Shackleton's sister Kathleen. One day she was having a spring clean she asked me (then aged 8) if I would like some of Ernest's letters as souvenirs. I took the bundle and cut off the signatures which I sold to my school friends for 6d each. I kept the one with Frank Worsley's signature, plus the photograph, and stuck them into my autograph album. The actual letters (some private, some to Nat. Geographical Society etc.) I threw away. Signed Faith Addis.
Also included in this lot is a 1982 leather bound reprint of 'South', The Story of Shackleton's Last Expedition 1914-1917.
